The last year has been an exciting time for California City schools. Our city has gone from having one elementary school that housed all children from Kindergarten to 6th grade with a newer middle school for 7th and 8th graders. High school students where bused to Mojave High School in nearby Mojave. In the last year two brand new schools have been built in California City. We now have two elementary schools, a middle school and a brand new high school currently housing the first Freshman class which will graduate in 2011.
